School Hours
The school day for students begins at 8:45 a.m. Dismissal time is 3:00 p.m. except on Wednesday when dismissal is at 2:00 p.m. Our school office hours are from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Our teachers are on duty from 7:45 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.
Arrival and Dismissal
We request the cooperation of our parents in helping our students arrive at school not later than 8:45 a.m. and not earlier than 8:15 a.m. unless they are participating in school-sponsored activities that are supervised by school employees. According to Florida statute 232.25, students are not permitted on school grounds prior to thirty minutes before school begins. Upon their arrival, students should line up quietly outside their classroom. Students will be admitted into their classrooms at 8:40 A.M. Student dismissal during school hours is discouraged. A written note sent on the morning of the early dismissal stating the reason and time is requested. Students are signed out through the office only to the parent or other authorized adult on the registration card or written note. Your Family Code Password will be requested before the student is released. Driver license identification may also be requested before a student is released to an adult. Teachers will not release students from the classroom to any person. Children will not be permitted to leave the campus unaccompanied during school hours.
Family Code Password
Hidden Oaks Elementary is committed to taking whatever measures necessary to ensure the safety of your child. All parents will be required to fill out an information card that will provide the school office with a Family Code Password. This code will be requested of you and anyone who comes to pick up your child. This is also our way of verifying phone calls to change your child's means of going home by another route or with someone else. This lets us know that they really do have your permission.
